|
| The People and Teams section of the site provides a listing of all the people in Technical Support organized by teams. It was designed to be managed by the Managers and the individual teams. This section provided the security mechnism for STARnet - in order to access sections of the site that required authentication (like Product Info), you needed to be added to the STARnet people database. People in the DB could be assigned to a specific team and assigned view and write access.
Teams could customize the content of their team sites using a mini content management system so that non-Web experts could contribute content without needing to rely on the STARnet Webmaster (me).
